What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Therapy or counseling generally aim to solve problems by looking into the past. In coaching we can take limiting beliefs from your past but we focus on the future.
We do not give advice. We use and teach tools and techniques to help you find the best path for you.
How do I know if coaching is for me?
If you want a change of some sort, whether it be creating a more fulfilling life for yourself or improving relationships, and are ready to take steps to achieve those goals, then yes, coaching is for you.
How long will I need to work with a coach?
It really depends on where you want to go. Some clients are able to achieve their goals in as little as 1 to 3 months. Most often clients stay with a coach anywhere from 6 to 12 months. After a client reaches their first goal, they often identify other areas in their life that they want to work on. The coaching relationship continues as long as it benefits the client.
How much does coaching cost and how do I pay?
Professionally trained, certified coaches charge fees in line with other highly trained professionals. Fees vary from coach to coach and are based on a variety of factors including whether it is in person or over the phone, via Skype, and/or if it is a package or a single session. In my practice, you will have a complimentary 20-30 minute session to see if coaching is for you and if so, what is the best way to achieve your goals. The regular sessions are 60 minutes. Payment will be made by pay pal or credit card after the initial complimentary session.
What if I have to cancel my session?
There is a 48 hour cancellation policy for one on one sessions. If a package has been purchaced and you have had your first session there will be no refund if you do not finish. There is a 2 week cancellation policy for workshops.
Can life coaching hurt someone?
No. The client is always responsible for their own life, and ultimately make their own decisions and take their own actions. The job of a life coach is to provide positive support and encouragement. While a life coach might challenge you to think differently or even take a more radical approach than you would normally take, the client must decide whether or not to try it. Life coaches do not, in any way, control the client’s thoughts, actions, or life.
How can I get the most out of coaching?
Know that everything is confidential and you are in a safe environment. Being authentic and open with your coach will help you get the most out of your sessions.
Why does life coaching produce such rapid results?
Life coaching works for many reasons: Synergy between the coach and the client creates momentum and enthusiasm. Better goals are set. The client develops and learns new skills, which leads to better success. Coaching provides a structure of support. A life coach can help you quickly recognize limiting beliefs that are creating suffering and road blocks in your life. A coach will teach you tools so that you can accomplish more with less struggle, in a short period of time.
Where does the life coach focus?
I meet you where you are in your life. We focus on your goals and how best to achieve them. Your mind will open to see what is really possible and how to make your goals happen.
